For their album 'Ephemera' (2020), the bagpipe group Griff Trio wanted a different approach in terms of artwork and layout. No plastic sleeve, but a handmade CD made from natural materials. Ultimately, they chose a wooden, laser-cut sleeve. Titles and lyrics were printed on recycled paper and glued to a map. The map was then ingeniously origami-style folded until it fit perfectly inside the sleeve. A great deal of patient pasting and folding resulted in a unique, handmade album, which is now sold out in its original form. The album is still available with a cardboard cover.
