"Give My Love To The Geese" played for years as a theatre play for children before author/director Freek Vielen decided to adapt it into a children's book. He tells the story of death, farewell, and grief with a poetic lightness, full of humor and comfort.

The book was published in the autumn of 2024 by De Eenhoorn publishers.

 

The illustrations were selected for the Longlist for the World Illustration Awards 2025.

In early 2026, the illustrations for "Give My Love To The Geese" received the Book Merit Award from the iJungle Illustration Awards 2025.
